When I painting this picture, I was reading the book Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway. We lived during our 1-week vacation during Christmas and New Year week near the Eiffel tower. This monument was visible from every crossroad and this the most popular city mark showing that we are in Paris and not confusing us that we are in different city, all these little cafes around the Eiffel tower. We had winter's vacation, was cold and slushy, the Paris is beautiful in any weather.
