This sprang from a small drawing I rather liked. The title came from my son who walked by while I was working on it and said, "It looks spectral." So it became 'Spectral Bird.' :) This is a 12 by 16 inch acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. Original Jones Art from Austin, TX. Addendum: This piece was chosen to hang in AVAA's Fall Show at Art Space Gallery, October 2016 in Austin, Texas.

Artist Reply: He graduated from UT Austin with a degree in advertising with a strong lean toward graphic design, Stanley. This was in early December 2015. In early February of this year, he'd already found a job with a marketing/advertising firm here in Austin. He and I are much alike---just don't tell him. ;)
