After studying several Dadaists, and learning that 'dada' was French for hobby horse (though I went for the 1600's version) I came up with a sketch of an idea and went from there. :) This is a 24 by 20 inch acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas and, I'm calculating, an extreme example of Original Jones Art as he stands around in northwest Austin, Texas.

i KNOW DA DA WELL ..WE EVEN HAD A NIGTHCLUB IN DALLAS NAMED CLUB DA DA., WHERE MY FRIEND'S BAND PERFORMED.....I KNOW THIS IS WAY OUT OF THE BALL PARK YOU WERE BATING FROM....BUT SOMTIMES ONE THING BIRTHS ANOTHER ...AND SO IT GOES...AND SO IT GOES...(kURT vONEGUT jR. --"Breakfast of Champions"

Artist Reply: I read somewhere that Dada, the art movement, is possibly named after a French child's word for hobby-horse. My energy level hasn't been high enough for painting lately. I hope that will change. Thanks, Elton! :)

WOW ! Stunning !!!! ;-))))))

Artist Reply: Thanks, Eric! I was playing off the French word 'dada' as it means hobby horse plus the fact that centuries ago folks made horses they could wear in parades, etc. Since Dada the movement, emphasized the irrational over reason, the image plus title just seemed to work. Hope you are doing great! :)
