Not the best photo, with the glare on the left, but I thought I'd upload anyway. This is a 16 by 20 inch acrylic painting on gallery-wrapped canvas. Original Jones Art.
Try using a polarizing filter to eliminate glare. Is that the Chex-Mix Bird? When Ralston first started packaging their mix they had a rooster on the package. The colors are at least similar.
Artist Reply: Ha! I did a quick sketch and liked the design, so went from there, Stanley. No conscious connection to any cereal, but unconscious? I can't say for certain. :) Thanks!
Very interesting creative artwork. Excellent style! Congratulations Charles.
Artist Reply: Many thanks, Angel. I worked on this for approximately a week and a half (of evenings) and was hoping for a 'break thru' though maybe I'm still on the road to one. :)
Artist Reply: Thank you, Dawson - Lynn James! I looked at this piece as something of an experiment in which I used a multitude of thin layers mixed with gel medium. It has a little more translucence than the photo suggests. :)
