Bird's Eye View

"Bird’s Eye View" was inspired by the lovely Rose gardens at the Fair Haven’s Bible Conference Grounds just outside of Brechin, Ontario, Canada. This particular garden is located just outside the front doors to the dining room attached to the Riverside Inn, both with a view of the Trent Waterway. I decided to substitute the garden furniture for an old bird house perched on a leaning tree trunk and weathered logs for the fence posts. Hearing the song birds conjured up this quaint and whimsical scene of a Purple Finch making her home protected admist this beautiful serene oasis. This is where she can sing God’s praises to her heart’s content. And as we too dwell in the safety of God’s love and peace we can rest safe and secure in the oasis He provides each day through His written Word. There we will find the special treasure of His company and the wonderful, eternal Truths that sustain us in every circumstance like butterflies and song birds that bring beauty to our life. And as we do so, we can praise God and say with the Psalmist, “The LORD is my strength and my shield...with my song will I praise Him.” Ps. 28:7
