music in motion

Today's children, teenagers, young adults mostly listen to music via CD players, IPods, internet music downloads, and very rarely are they exposed to listening to and enjoying music via the record player and records. My 9-year old great-nephew Chris enjoys listening to children's songs and other forms of music on my record player whenever he comes to visit me. As a retired teacher, I am glad that I saved a lot of records- geared specifically for children- that I often used in my classroom when I was a teacher. My great-nephew says that he is also watching "music in motion" as he sees a record go around on the record player as he listens to the songs/music. I used the Paint program on my computer to create this artwork showing my great-nephew Chris watching and listening to 'music in motion' on the record player.
