Tay Rail  Bridge

The first Rail bridge colasped on the 28th December 134 years ago killing all on board . Number killed was given as 57 persons.

Artist Reply: Thank you so much . Yes it was tragic and they did,nt find any female bodies partly because of the type of clothing they wore Long dresses and underskirts they wore in these days. They were pulled down and swept away as the River Tay is a fast flowing river. They had a remembrance service this year on both sides of the river with the names of those who perished carved into four Granite pillars.
