The Duchess- bead embroidery- necklace

The Duchess- I've had this beautiful cabochon for a long time, just waiting for a home. Inspiration finally struck & I designed this bead embroidery piece, taking the colors from the cabochon. It's done in soft, muted colors of cream, gray, & mauve. I'm not sure whether the cabochon is "Bakelite" or lucite. I embroidered it with tiny little seed beads, & gave it a ruffle of Japanese glass pearls & black fresh water pearls. The necklace is spiral rope with vintage Japanese glass pearls. I finished it with a woven toggle clasp to match the necklace. You'll feel like royalty wearing this, or give it as a special gift. Size: 18"
