HAMMERED LEAVES BONSAI, Wire Tree Sculpture

HAMMERED LEAVES BONSAI, Wire Tree Sculpture, by Sal Villano 21"H x 18"W x 18"D Created using 24 & 26 gauge galvanized steel wire. The end of each twig is hammered flat to create a flat leaf which gives the tree a very full appearance. The tree sits on a mound made of sea sand many assorted pebbles and rocks. The sea sand and pebbles are painted in yellows and greens using India ink, which will not fade and gives the appearance of moss covered earth. The piece is planted on a 6.5 inch round antique solid wood base, with hand cut openings on the sides. The base is imported from Japan. #1119-09 $595.00

this is wonderful work, how long to finish a piece.

Artist Reply: Hi Curtis. Thanks the nice comment. To answer your question... it takes 2 to 3 hours for the small pieces, this large piece took about 26 hours.
