Artist Reply: Thank you very much, John, I love painting old buildings. I am working on a dock scene with several in it. Taking my time, though. I took a time out from oils to learn pastels, and I definitely am more at home with oils and old buildings.
Its not easy to paint from a photo and still capture the atmosphere. you did wel here. i can feel the sun
Artist Reply: Thank you very much, Keith, you are right, it isn`t easy to paint from photos and achieve the correct lighting. I have been doing it for a long time, though, and having taken my own photos for the most part, helps with that.
