ABSTRACT Cicada Bug

I had my artwork at a show recently and there was a pottery display. Among the display was a bug and it fascinated me with the design and movement as it posed for me.. I think it is a Cicada and some species only come every 17 years... As I looked at the design it looked like an African mask face on the back.. I am always amazed at the design in nature and this was something to behold and an unexpected guest at an art show...

Yes, they are interesting. I saw them in Washington DC years ago. Everywhere you walked it was crunchy, that I did not like. The side walks were covered in mass with them.
