Kwan Yin

Kwan Yin is one of the manifestations of Avalokitesvara, the Buddha of Compassion. A boddhisattva, she has denied herself nirvana until the suffering of all beings has been extinguished. Her great compassion is so necessary in light of the recent events going on in the world, namely the tsunami that hit Japan and the devastation it left in it's wake. Painted in a little over two days, with the help of a dear friend Sarah, she beckons us to reach a little more into our own hearts for the compassion to help all those in need. Acrylic on canvas board 24X36 in
