Jacaranda Under Lion's Head

This wonderful painting is of Jacaranda Trees, which when in bloom, cover the streets in purple "snow." Behind the trees, to the left, is the small tip of Table Mountain. To the top right is Lion's Head mountain, named by the Dutch explorers because they felt that it looked like a lion on its back. The building is the old Sea Point High School.
