a street in Galata region..

one of the old streets of Istanbul.The tower beeing seen at the end is Galata Tower.One of the oldest tower on earth.First built in 528 AD by Byzantians as a lighthouse.After that destroyed by the 4 th Crusaiders and restored in 1348 AD by the Geneoseans to use as an observation tower of their colony.It is about 67 meters(219 feet) tall.Today there are cafes and restaurants in it.Popular by the amazing panoramic Istanbul view..

I really love the looks of this tower and obviously so do the many people on it, however the thing that catches my eyes are the street vendor and the man pushing the cart. This is a great capture.

Artist Reply: thank you for your nice comment Donald.You can meet street vendors in the back streets with their carts.They sell sandwiches,mostly 'simit'(a kind of salted and sesamed round tea bread)..they push their carts from street to street or just stay somewhere all day long..
