I want to share images of the wonderful endemic plants from the Namakwaland area in South Africa. A friend in this area spent most of his lifetime propagating and protecting these plants on his farm Quaggaskop where he did not have animals grazing or anything disturbing the plants for close to 40 years. You can look at my slide shows to learn more about these plants here: http://www.slideshare.net/via wia/succulents-part-1 http://www.slideshare.net/via wia/succulents-part-2 The Knersvlakte is the common name for the area where the farm lies and is strewn with small white quarts pebbles that assist the tiny plants to survive in the extremely arid and hot climate Enjoy!
