Fireflys along the River

Lightning bugs or "fireflys"come out to greet the night. The male illuminates to attract a mate. It was an fun adventure in childhood to catch them and put them in a jar and experience the magic. Mixed media of pastel on textured paper 12"x18"

what a beautiful pastel painting..this is so lovely!

Artist Reply: Thanks Tyler it is one of my favorites because of the mood. Sometimes that is hard to capture. Fireflys take me back to being a child...and we can all identify with that feeling. I appreciate your wonderful comment
