Oliver was raised in Portland Oregon and is 45 years old.
Oliver co-created and curated the artist co-op and gallery called Blue Catfish Studios from 1999-2004. The idea came from a small shack in a yard of bamboo on 45th and Belmont; opened at 34th and Belmont, with second location moved to 38th and Belmont.
He Coordinated the Belmont Art Festival in 2002. Created the Belmont Cultural Art Festival in 2003.
In Oct. 2009, Oliver used a small art studio in Eugene, Ore. Fused glass fish and clay Mayan pieces are experiments from this time.
Currently(2017), with Aqua Blue Lounge and still producing work, mostly commissioned pieces, in Portland, Oregon.
