Self Portrait

I love the art of black and white Photography. It shows the world in it's true form to people, w/o looking at color first then having what they see distorted and judged by the colors seen before the actual image is studied. I am a purest and like to show the beauty of what I see in the world around me and share it with others. We live in a magnificant place! B Jensen

New media source from Zontis PR Firm Aug. 04': Brenda Jensen is one of the few remaining black and white 35-mm photographers that has hand developed photos. She uses a number of developing methods, using both RC and Fiber based papers. Fiber Prints are selenium toned and washed up to 4 hrs, a method similar to the greats Edward Weston and Ansel Adams.

The final images are unrivaled. The photos ask the viewer to come in closer, slow the pace of life and search for what defines our environment. The photos evoke emotions, as common scenes are turned into creative works of art. Black and White contrast photos are the medium because there is no color to distract from the heart of the photograph. There is no prejudgment as you enter.

Always armed with her camera, Jensen loves shooting subjects in their natural state. Travel is a hobby with which Brenda is fascinated. This allows her go around the world and capture many of the photos that appear in a number of different New York, Philadelphia, Dallas and European art galleries, hotels, magazines and personal interior design projects.

This year, Jensen started a line of stationery and gifts that portray her stunning images.

She has also been signed by Bentley Publishing, with design houses in California and the U.K. to produce her work into Fine Art Posters.

Finding beauty in the ordinary is what captures her admirers.
