Red headed Gouldian Finches Art Australian Birds Susan Willemse

We've learnt to photograph through quarantine meshing! These little Red- headed Gouldian Finches were going through quarantine a very important part of preventing diseases spreading and they were not too happy about it. I painted this to "set them free" and to create a bright and happy artwork with loads of primary colour, something to make anyone smile because I know these Australian birds were going onto a super life style- they just didn't know it at the time. With this artwork I also wanted to try out a slightly different brush work technique and I am very happy with the results. This artwork can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrxTwAxO4RI
