Hello, my name is Samantha, I'm an artist and I specialize in abstract painting. I'm 23 years old, born in North London. I graduated from Middlesex University after studying BA Fine Art in 2011. Ever since I was a child l have always been interested in art, from painting by numbers to drawing I have developed a big interest for the subject. During my 6th form years I did an applied art and design course and found my calling. From there I moved on to college and did a foundation course in Art and Design and subsequently continued this into University. My work has always been heavily influenced by nature, which I have a deep interest in. The sheer breadth of nature, being an immense subject matter, has led me to break my ideas down and begin to base my work around the way a tree looks without the foliage. This became the primary focus of my 2nd year at University. Carrying on from this concept I am now working on a series of natural based abstract paintings, the style of which was largely inspired by the German artist Gerhard Richter.
