Artist Statement: Michael is a fine artist with collectors in England, France, Spain, as well as the United States. Michael paints with oil, acrylics and on rare occasions with watercolor. Michael also likes to work with charcoal when creating artistic painterly drawings. Michael has studied and shared a studio in Atlanta with Dr.Chouaieb Saidi, an internationally known artist, who has a Doctorate in Visual Arts from the Sorbonne University in Paris. Michael has also participated in workshops taught by Tim Tyler, Dominic Vignola and most recently taken a class at the John C. Campbell Folk School taught by John Mac Kah, an instructor at the Fine Arts League of Ashville (NC). Michael sums up his work as follows; “I paint what my spirit moves me to paint with what ever medium I decide to use. I never want to be known as a watercolor artist or an oil painter but I want to be known as an artist that loves to experiment and learn new skills and create different kinds of art. You can dislike my work; you can like my work; or best of all you can like my work enough to spend your hard earned money to make it yours.” Michael further states, “Life is too short to waste time dealing with negative things. You have to make your own path and listen to your muse and follow your muse to create your work. I have a sign on the door of my studio that states the hours of operation as follows:

“Absolutely Random, Pleasant Weekends Or When it feels right.”
