Self Portrait

Tim Jensen has been drawing and painting since childhood. He is largely self-taught and began selling his artwork as early as junior high school. He furthered his education at the Northwest College of Art in Poulsbo, Wa. graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Visual Communications. This unexpectedly led him into the computer field where he worked for six years learning the latest 3D modeling, graphic design, and photo editing software. Best known for his pencil portraits Tim draws in a very exacting and realistic manner. He has developed a unique style by breaking away from traditional pencil portraits and creating fine art portraits that are more conceptual, large scale, and photo realistic. His other fine art skills include pastel, colored pencil, pen & ink and acrylic painting. In most cases it is the subject that helps dictate the appropriate medium to use. In addition to his fine art skills Tim has developed his skills in graphic design and photography. These wide ranging skills enable him to take on nearly any type of artistic project and do so with a high consistency of style. Tim's work can be seen and purchased through his website at www.timsart.net and he is currently available for portrait and fine art commissions.
