Uswayford Road Ford

A ford at Trows on the road to Uswayford in the Upper Coquet Valley, in winter. Uswayford is a hill farm rearing sheep. This part of the Coquet Valley is in the Cheviot hills in the Northumberland National Park.

Very beautiful, Andrew! The falls reminds me of Niagara Falls in Canada a little bit! It's shaped differently, but... looks just as powerful and awe-spiring!!! I was fortunate enough to go across Canada a few years ago! I will never forget the beauty of that country!!! Of course, my family is from Canada and it made the trip all the more thrilling!

Artist Reply: Many thanks Shannon. I don't see the link with Niagara falls myself, but if my photograph brings the memories of your trip to Canada to the forefront of your mind then I could not be happier. Regards Andy S

Awesome photo, Andrew! This water looks as though it covers the road???

Artist Reply: Thank you for your kind words Sharon. Yes your right the water does cover the road, it's a traditional river crossing called a Ford. Regards Andy S
