Honesty and Integrity go hand in hand. Honesty in web design is that you are true to your heart and offer that to others without compromise. It lives in the truth and respect that the site has earned and continues to earn. Integrity is the belief in wholeness, goodness and excellence. Integrity in web design is that what you are say is what you are doing. Only when you achieve this status will you be able to grow you customers, and you will be able to pass that onto people and site that you associate, from team members to company name. People and company s you deal with will look to you for service and will raise you above them and promote you for your Honesty and Integrity. So when looking to make a quick Dollar remember the next one will not come so easily when you push Honesty and Integrity to the side. You can make more money not charging someone once than you can make charging that same person for every mistake you make. The thing to remember is people only remember the one time you did something wrong. So one wrong will whip out 1 million rights out. A web page is not home town or in the neighborhood, your customers don’t have to drive by it to go somewhere else. If you tarnish your name the customer can block you in the browser and in there minds. Get it right the first time, test, test then deploy your site. Time is on your side to get it right. Stop, Think do it right.

My Passion
Photography

My passion in life is Photographing things, anything most of all animals. I have been to the zoo a hundred time and never get board with it. I also like to go out in the wild and take pic of deer and eagles and anything I can find to capture with my camera. I have a old Nikon D100 SLR, I used to have a D1 I like the D1 a lot better than the D100. I am still learning how to use this one the D1 I could point and shot and have some of the best photos. The D100 is killing me and my passion I think I need to take a class on this after I am done with Web Design and Development class. I love to take a bunch of pic come home and look throw them and see what I have and the detail and beauty in them. I have 40 gigs of pic some I don’t remember taking.

I go to the Azalea park in Muskogee every chance I get in April take a tune of pics.

All summer I go to take picture of the roses and other flowers. I take a lot of picture of butterflies.

Last year I took a lot of train picture mostly of the artwork painted on by teenagers.

I am going to start a new project this summer finding old cars parked in feeds and do some black and whites of a time gone by. Like a refection of better times and a different time. A way of life that was slowed down with no internet. So I am looking for old car and truck in fields with tree growing around them or in them.

I am also looking for old barns to photograph. So if you read this and they are around the Muskogee and Oklahoma City areas let me know. This passion is only second to my Daughter she is my number one passion in life. Thanks Robert Martin.

My prediction of the future for the technology.
The future of this product is growing more and more every day because of the growth of the Internet and business to move to and online system. Also the need for people to access information from mobile and desktop computers we will find a need to put more information online to be able to access it from multiple locations. Personnel database information for nonpublic and public use will be the next big think and will allow you to decide what is public and what is private. instead of having a Twitter or Google account or Facebook or MySpace you will have one space and will allow the service to access the information. The database will become you information channel to the world and you will decide who or what sees it. You could us a tagging system to put the information out and to bring it back in, just by breaking the tag in the database. Total control of your information and events in your life so if something big is going on like you kid is getting married you would be able to put the info out to friend and family only or if you want to get someone elected you could put your support out on the public forms in one click. Or send email out and twitter about stuff or post pic of family and Geo-tagging from one location. If something happens like you want to run for office and don’t want the info out there one click will bring it all back in so you can put the views and pic out that you want people to see and keep the drunk pic and party’s private thus controlling public option. Instead of making and amazon account with credit card info on it you would allow amazon access to that info in the database and when the sale was complete the information would no longer be on amazon site and would make it hard for hacker to collect large database of customers information. Thus reducing the cost to business and the fear of identity theft

Dealing with anger in your life and at work. My recommendation is to take yourself out of the argument and step back. I’d ask myself if this is important or not if I deem as unimportant I give into the argument and go on with my life. Deemed as unimportant is it doesn’t go against my beliefs and does not directly affected me. Now if I have to spent money as a resulted of a new rule or it will cost me more in the long run then I am against it. Back to controlling my anger. If it is important than I will step back and take a different route maybe go around that person. if it is a person that I don’t have to talk to I will just avoid that person or that thing or not do it. There is no reason to get worked up over someone else’s view. At anytime I take my emotions out of the argument, so my tone is not elevated or stress me out. Nothing at work is worth fighting for new rules, someone does not like you. I just do my job as well as I can with no mistakes. If they continue to harass you then you can go over them. It may make you mad but remaining calm is very important in these matters. You also should have good attendance and no other write-ups. I alway look and see if I am what I would consider a good employee, no call ins, no write ups, and do my job. Than I go from that point and work on what I need too to keep from be mad. Work should never overwhelm your life, it is only part of it. I don’t know how many jobs I quit or lets say it this way found a new job first, and not said anything to the old job. I got the last word and left on my own terms. Life is the part of anger management you need to get right. Always remember you love this person, I they cheat leave it’s not worth it. If it about taking the trash out I look at it this way, do i want to smell this, just take it out. At no point should one part of the relationship be told what to do, you should ask and remember you love this person. It should be a two-way street no your way or the highway. At no time should it disrupt you health.

1.What are your web design goals?

I want become a professional web designer for a company in Oklahoma City or have the ability to move. It doses not mater if I make professional or personal web site as long as it pay the bills?

2.Which aspects of web design interest you the most?

The aspect of web design that interests me is the forms and the CGI or the java and games side.

3.What current skills do you have that will be useful in creating web pages?

I have programmed some web pages use Imfdwarf and I am good a just using source code by itself

4.Which skills will you need to brush up on?

The layout is the problem I was having with most of my design and the size of the graphics I was using.

5.Which hardware and software tools do you already have for web design?

I have Adobe CS4 and a Nikon D1 SLR camera. So I think I am good.

6.Which tool do you need to buy?

I am going to purchase a programmability keyboard, to make my job easier on basic markup and picture markup.

7.Which tools would you like to buy eventually?

Right now I don’t know what else I would need. A new computer or laptop would be nice. More books.

The ledlights.com and ledtronics.com have too much white space in them and too much scrolling, need to get more above the fold. These sites put to muck writing on the page not enough selling of products. The customer gets confused about a mission statement no one care about that. They are looking to save money and go green. You are selling led light bulbs how much greener can you get. Well there is sunlight. Lol. But overall the site gets around to sell you something but less about your cause and more about selling. You main goal is not to save the rain forest but to sell product that will end up saving it.

What would I do to improve this site? This site has too much white space on it and the info the customer want is below the fold of the page. I would put links on the left side to each product they sell so it would be easier for the customer to find what they are looking for. I would start out with the hot selling item first and then let the user navigate to the item in the link that they want. On the right I would put a shopping cart and business info and history of service below that and contact info as well or a live chat with customer support to better help customer or returning customer. This would bring the products they are selling up and into the customers face.

This web page most of the info is above the fold. The web page has a featured product link. This is good the only thing that is not in the body is a list of products. In the header area there is a product link. I think that the picture could be used a little different. I would make the area larger and ad links in the picture area to different kinds of product: example home and garden lights, business fluorescents. Industrial lights and streetlights.
Other than these thing I would change the web page is fine. Web pages that don’t have direct links to product I would steer away from using.

These two get it sale, sale, sale, just a little tweak and they have it.

This web page has one-track mind. The product right up front and you can bypass everything and go straight to what you want. There is no need for product searches or introduction you get what you see or what you want. The only thing I would do different is change the product layout after you click a product from a list to a thumbnail and put the price under each one and reduces the more links done to just more. This would get 6 to 9 item above the fold and make item at the bottom sell. On the welcome page your eye tend to jump around on the info in the middle of the page need to make a clear line or use horizontal bars instead of putting the info side by side. The new to led outfitter in the middle dose not do anything. To many lines

This web page is doing on thing selling what it has and that is it. The web page start with what is hot and has links to all of its products on the left. The account is at the top with the cart. This web site uses the kiss system (keep it simple stupid) of designing. Everything you need to find products on this site is at the top or left side of the page. No needs to scroll down the page unless you want the new gadgets. This site also has a link to social site and feed back forum.

The web has change the way we live our lives. The changes are most evident in the way we shop and interact with people. Customer service was a smile and a happy good-looking person and large box stores. Now the Internet that sends out email ads and text messages is replacing it. The new customer service is the ability to flow a person to the item on a particular web page. The new it over here let me show you or this is what you need. The web still employs the same tactics that the box store use, sale 30% sale 40% off every thing must go, blowout on all 4 of July item get them now. The job of a web designer is easy. Get them to buy it. If you wont buy from a page you design why would you design it. If the web page help people buy then we have done our jobs right. The Internet lets all races buy and sell on it. The last time I shopped on the web I bought some book for the class I am in at Francis Tuttle. The book took almost two weeks to get to me. It was only after I call them when they offered to next day air it to me. I was getting mad at Amazon because I didn’t get in two days. The book was late due to the snowstorm. But my anger was pointed at Amazon. They don’t fallow up on purchases that don’t show up in a timely manner. If they had some alarms on purchased item that have not been delivered. I am happy with Amazon but small details make the different. Then they could of call or check in with me. If I work for Amazon I would put in a system that gave Amazon deliver alerts when a package has on arrived to the customer or has taken to long. In close a poor website is poor customer service.

What is your biggest fear about this course?

            My biggest fear is that I fall this course. Computer and the Internet is something I have been involved in all or most of my life. I am great at fixing computers and I have produced some web pages. However I would like to make a better living at it and let someone else pay the bills i.e. the electric and water bills that come with a business and the stress of having to make money. Everybody says they wont to have a business of their own but after going through it I don’t. I took the online course so I would not have to do the college thing, don’t want to do college class. I did not see the Orientation thing and this is one of the reasons why I don’t go to college. I am ready to get started and move through this and be done with it. I want to get to what interest me, Web design and computers. I have a lot of ideas and would like to implement them. I also want to go into software development class. I want to write app for the Iphone and Ipad and games. My biggest fear is falling at something I have done all my life. You could say falling at my life.
