Below is the next stage (still in progress). Those are shots of the connecting corridor that is filled with some interesting techy objects, pipes, and generators.

Well, it seems that I really went beyond the original reference material and got crazy with the normal mapping. What you see here is the low poly environment with projected high poly normal mapped information. All the elements are movable, so that when I duplicate this corridor about three or four times before getting to the main section / causeway, I can move things around for variation's sake. In the image you can probably tell that I have the baked occlusion applied as color on most of the elements that are normal mapped.

Check out the latest progress on the jump ship corridor. You will find that I did some serious upgrading in comparison with the original reference material in the final demo video from the jump ship hangar project in the "Work in Progress" section. Click on the image above for a high res screen shot. This project is at about twenty hour thus far. This includes that time needed to bake the normals from the high-res geometry. Sign Off. 9:27am.
