I'm a little new to writing a blog; not used to writing down my thoughts. Most of the time they just fly through and drop out. I've started a new group on ArtWanted.com called Hawaii. It's all about the most beautiful place in the world - the islands of Hawaii. I know there are beautiful places all over the world, but I haven't been there... or there. I've been to Hawaii. And it is a stunner. Our first trip was a fluke of sorts. My husband and I had thought about it but didn't think we could afford it. But after watching the Travel Channel episode on the Princeville Resort, we knew we had to go. So I set up expedia.com to let me know when the fares and hotel rates went low and Bam!! several weeks later they dipped drastically! I called my husband from work (yep, I was surfing at work...) and he said to book it. Holy Cow! We were going to Hawaii!! It was a truly amazing trip. The Princeville Resort is simply gorgeous. The pool and beach were amazing. And, we found out that a lot of the scenes from the movie "South Pacific" were filmed on that beach and on the bluff overlooking that beach. In fact, you can see "Bali Hai" from the Princeville and that side of the island! It was a truly wonderful experience. It was the first time I ever cried when we went down to the front desk to check out. I didn't want to leave. I think we were already planning our second trip on the plane back to Virginia.
