I set my goal for the Great Ride 'n' Stride 2010 at $250 which I have exceeded! So I upped my goal to $500.
So far, I have collected $260.90 through friends and through purchases made through Etsy (www.paint1chris.etsy.com). I am walking for my brother Mike who is currently battling melanoma which has spread to his brain.
I will donate 15% of any sale made from both my Etsy and ArtWanted stores to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I am participating in Great Ride 'n' Stride 2010 (I'm doing the Stride part) to support the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society. The walk here in Burlington is on Sunday May 2nd.
In addition to participating in this fundraiser, I will donate 15% of any sale made from both my Etsy and ArtWanted stores to the Canadian Cancer Society in honour of my brother Mike, who is currently fighting this disease. You can follow how well I am doing at the Canadian Cancer Society website.
The money raised from this event helps fund leading-edge cancer research that is improving cancer treatments, preventing cancer and saving lives; provide reliable and up-to-date information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment; offer vital community-based support services for people living with cancer and their families; and advocate for healthy public policies.
