Just to give it some texture. It was painted a couple Augusts ago when it was unbearably hot. Note the cat lying in the tire by tree...; )</DIV></DIV>

Hi person who stopped by to read my blog! I'm having major artist block. major. ACMoore went out of business here and I spent over 200.00 in art supplies, doesn't sound like much money but ya gotta remember everything was 60 to 80% off. So here I sit, or lay down watching tv or in bed reading , or walking , or anything so I don't have to look at blank canvas. Whats up with this??? I also got my cable hooked up, got over 200 channels>>>>>I suspect thats the main culbert. Just laying there and flipping through channels. My Dad used to call the tv the "idiot box". I do believe its sucking all my creativity out of me. Course we all know theres a "off" button. I think the cable's gotta go. In fact the whole tv should go. aarrgghh , when I think of the hours wasted. I mean, like I really cared who the bachorette was gonna choose to be engaged to.........or who's gonna win "So you think you can dance", I mean in the cosmic theme of things, does this matter? TV is just another drug, albeit a fun one sometimes. OK, gonna go cold turkey this week-end, putting cloth over tv and not turning it on til the Olympics. Thats it! I'm finished! Maybe I'll regenerate some right brain cells. stoopid tv. Peace to all and KILL YOUR TELEVISION. (feel ever so much better now) Blessings and paintmanycolors to all. suzi
p.s. I wonder whats on PBS on Saturday night?

Not having a digital camera has made it difficult to participate fully in artwanted and other groups. (as you can imagine)But, I should have one by next week and I am over the moon! My creative self has been a long time coming. Isn't it like "applause" when someone comments on your art....when they "get it"? a good feeling. I can't get over the sheer amount of good artists here on this site. I could spend all day just looking and commenting when something moves me. I had a friend who died very young.. we would write letters back and forth and she always ended her's by saying ..."go paint something!" Do what thrills your soul......and so dear ones, I say to you .....quote>"Listen to the passion of your soul, set the wings of your spirit free; and let not a single song go unsung."Peace-Suzi

Artwanted.com has become my outlet for my art, and I am so thankful. I've been working and exploring different methods of using water-based paints....its so much fun and takes my mind off me!!I also have been enjoying looking at all the other art. Amazing, wonderful art. My wish for Mothers Day is a digital camera....got my computor for Christmas, never thought that it would open up the World Of Art for me. Just want everyone to know, its never too late, I'm 63 and can't paint fast enough, the ideas dance in my head all day, I can barely sleep for new ideas popping in my brain. For seniors and especially seniors with handicaps, painting is better than all the pills we are handed everytime we go to the Doc.s. Thanks to all who take time to comment on my art and thanks to artwanted.com for giving me a place to show what I (feel) paint. Peace and love, Susan..quote-"It takes a long time to become young again."-Picasso

Hi, I'm a self-taught older artist. I began painting seriously about 2 years ago. I love color and texture in paintings. Theres so much to paint...and so many different mediums...I'm exploring my painting world now. As a woman , diagnosed with depression/anxiety and OCD, painting has become my therapy. I tend to be reclusive and don't show my work, but between my four daughters and special friend I am starting to "put my art out there".I work everyday at my art, I'm so happy to have an outlet for my feelings. I found this quote somewhere; "To Paint is to Love Again." and so it is....Suzi
