I'm still trying to get back to more painting. I am continually interupted but am slowly findng time. Vern Ericson, a famous artist in North Dakota came by to look at my work and he loved it. His brother lives next door and told him about my work. I was very pleased! Also, 20 of my paintings are hanging in a business on Main ST. I figure by spring I will be ready to join in the various art venues in the state. Thank you all for your support!

We left Espanola on Wed. and the weather hs been snow, wind, rain and snow, snow, snow. This is the second day snowed in, Valentine, NE. The weather looks decent for tomorrow, our last step of the journey. I really hope this was the right decision. One can never completely know until it is lived.

I have been involved in a situation involving many circumstances. Finally a change is being made to hopefully make peace within myself and to once again paint. I'm going home!!!! North Dakota to roam!!!! Once more see the Blue Bells! Brown Eyed Susans!! I plan to explore ghost towns and become one with the history. Most important...spend time with my Mother, who is 80 and my Dad's brother, 82. I will be taking the enchantment of New Mexico with me.

Hello everyone, it has been a while since my last entry due to some changes in my medications. Finally things are improving and I'm so thankful to have a more mobile day to day life. However, I'm finding out that research is lagging and tho they say new medication..it all has the same side effects just a different manufacturer and twice the money. For the first time in 2 years I have gone a week without painting. I don't know if it's medication or lack of inspiration. I wake with dreams of painting and I lose what it is. Wish me luck, maybe tomorrow I'll capture it on canvas.

Time seems to go by so quickly these days. I am so into painting lately that I am beginning to loose track of days and where they went. The eather has been cold and snowy but not accumulating. People seem to think that it's warm in New Mexico in the winter. Most of the state is relatively high elevation. We sit at 5680 with mountain peaks all around and in the summer have monsoons and snow in winter. Four season are very evident. I already have spring on the brain and have been noting to make a list of all the places I want to photograph wild flowers. I would like to go to a desert lower in elevation to shoot some of the cactus flowers which I will paint later. My mother told me she wants me home (North Dakota) this summer. I just don't know if I want to go. I never seemed to recover from the trip last summer. My legs seem to be failing me and I am with crutches almost daily now. Not all day but until my medicine kicks in. They help with my stability. I definitely do not want to fall so I feel a little precautionary aids are the way to go. I think I will look for a cane. I am trying to find a way to pay for my medications. The expense is too much to bare every month. Out of pocket is $260 and I am finding it hard to stretch my budget much further. This country needs to do something to help the uninsured. It is not only myself in need but so many others worse off than me. Maybe with the next president things will change.

I can't believe it's been over a month since I've added to this blog! Here's what's been happening. Wells Frgo finlly sent a check and I put the painting in the mail a few days go. I'm anxious to hear when they receive it. Finally you can read my review t www.riograndesun.com the arts section 10/25/2007 issue, front page and 1 & 2 It really is very good! It has been cold here, not s cold s other places but 10 degrees in the morning seems to be normal for this time of the year, Our son Steve is home from the navy and it sure is good to see him. I'm enjoying my time with him very much. For now...MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Received paperwork from wells Fargo . finallizing the sale by signing today. I love the painting myself but it belongs with Wells Fargo in their Historical collection. I'm off on toulie fog and will let you know how that goes.

I haven't forgotten this blog, really, K ave been painting and getting ready for my paintings to come back from the show. I have reorganized and cleaned and I'm ready for them. We have decided to keep the Ethan Allen 4 poster bed with the mountains and desert so will be changing the beds over tonight. Can't wait to see the change in the guest room. Also project for the window is underway. I just wish I could figure out how to use my Serger sewing machine. I think I finally got it threaded correctly. I cook and bake, but my sis is the seamstress. If you ever want to buy a custom quilt just let me know and I will get you contact with the quilt maker herself. I have to get a start on my day. Have a good one.

yes, I'm still painting. getting paintings done for some of my uncles and I have 3 grand-nephew/nieces due within the next few months that I do special paintings as a record of their birth. I have pending news but will promise to add to this later. I'm heading off to put painting things away. Have a great week!
