Any way this was a piece done with Apophysis and then finished off in photo shop using two more of my images
one of them is Mind Games seen here in my portfolio

Each of these three images were rendered/created seperately involving a lot of processor power and then blended together to form one piece Enjoy </DIV></DIV>

saying that has any one else experienced strange things happening with their images like disappearing and so on as i now have to rebuild all my sub galleries in the hope the missing images will resurface

Haven't been doing much with this blog of mine lately,do you realise it is has just been over six months since i came on board at art wanted, doesn't time fly, in some respect it feels like i have been here longer.Any thought it was time to let you know

i have now managed to get my website back online again, yes i know i kept saying a few months back that i would try and get the site up and running
but then being multi talented and with my mind on other things. My plans to spend some time in getting some new work on my website just never materialised

Lets say when it comes to building or finding a suitable host to get myself a website it never goes in the way i hope it to go, the current website i have now uses flash technology
having done some statistics via google 90% of internet users use flash but the down side it not very search engine friendly

Website SEO and the ongoing development of having a reqular website presence is not my thing
but having been online since 2002 i feel the more i get to know more about the basics of flash html and so on, the task of putting together a website starts to get a bit more easier
even if it means using one of these DIY web packages check out what i have done and let me know what you think

Blog Entry - August 18, 2007

Guess its time for another blog entry should really get into some kind of routine but then i have never been one for getting my life organized, for example i write things down then forget i ever did this in the first place.Worse still i am know where near than i was in replacing the camera i dropped last month, luckily i had it covered under insurance

As i found out from the shop i bought it from that my camera was if i took out a warranty ( say 1 or 2 years) this would cover me against mechanical failure but not accidental damage. This just shows either you take out additional cover or you buy a new camera. So at present i am at loose ends knowing that having never experienced the joys of using film. i had got quite accustomed to the simplicity of digital camera's

i still have my old if what second-hand Kodak DC210 which my other half uses occasionally plus she had a go at using my Fuji Fine-Pix 602 which produces far better pictures than the Kodak

To date i have photos from both camera's going as far back as 2000/01 if that wasn't enough ( maybe this isn't the place to say this) but i have been put in the position as a carer yet still do my art & photography. There is no way would i thrown in towel on something i have been doing since i was 15 and that is take photos

which i guess in time has developed followed by plently of practice in learning new techniques/styles such as portrait candid etc etc
its the same with my art nobody teaches you how to hold a pencil or how to draw and paint

unless its comes naturally other wise its just another skill to learn and this applies to what i do now for example is technology supposed to make us better at creating art/taking photos or is this simply down to what we put in terms of learning to use a new piece of equipment/program and so on

if you are unsure where i am coming from i will try to explain at a later timen but first i am looking for answers/solutions to how i can correctly categorize my images & photos yes my portfolio work on AW might come under Digital Paintings ( created using digital/photo-editing software )

but then what if some of my pieces came across as fine art photography/ones you would find in a gallery from there i have animations created using photo impact Gimp and Squirlz Water Reflections
i could go on knowing that i will not be able to please every one as i have just discoverd now

Why because most people will say stick at two chosen subject this could be 3D rendering/animation or photography combined with digital painting. Is that the case with me no
as with does any of my work come under mixed media
you ask me !!!!! if i knew the full meaning of what this meant then i wouldn't end up with my finger's burnt. i will continue with this later on

Blog Entry - July 27, 2007

As you can see i haven't been doing much in keeping my blog up to date, too many other things to think about and so little time. But any way here we are again, first of all why is my portfolio looking a bit scare these day, or should we say lack of new images

well i do appologise there and if that didn't help matters two weeks ago i dropped my pride and joy ( (camera)so before you say yes it happens, there goes my lively hood down the pan, in the three years of having it only two times did i drop it or was it a question of looking at a subject to photograph with the camera in my hand

And in a split second a thud and there you have it
well hard to say as i guess normally as the lense is the most fragile part of the camera its always wise to ensure this is safely inside the main body.So its no wonder they call photography high risk on both occasions this was purely an accident

but to me you could say having been in to photography since i was 15 what i had was my first serious camera and i was starting to get to know all the functions well kind of, so what now and i hope this explains for the shortfall of images

there is hope as i do have a backlog of photos going back 2/3 years plus ones taken this year along with a hard drive full of ones i cant access at this stage,i did take out insurance so will now put a claim in and wait and see

meanwhile i"m exploring another avenue something which i haven't done in 20 years paint& draw well to be honest there are images in my portfolio which started out as hand drawn sketches and then finished it off with a pen & graphics tablet

I guess you can say i'm at wits end and know painting is in my blood so there was always going to be the case that i would start again even if it meant doing it digitally so for the past three days and counting endless hours

then having to replace the bulb in my desktop lamp this was yesterday which is a halogen one
i also use a flat screen monitor too (LCD)i was then finally able to get back to painting ( a rework of an image which i did five years ago)

one thing i can say you are all in for a treat and thanks to art wanted and the new private galleries not only will you get to see a small version in my main portfolio but at later date
a large version too so do keep your eyes on my portfolio and thank you for all those who have left comments and feedback on my work

well i have had other issues to focus on and find there are days where i'm not in the mood for sitting staring at a computer screen trying to go through a majority of my photos

then wondering what to do with them in a sense i have over five years of work i'd like to offload say some on to my portfolio and all the various places like my website my artspace my space and so on but then i say i am back to square one

never mind and forgive for rabbiting on but give me a few days more or to and i'll be back on the forums and starting to post some new stuff in my portfolio in the meantime please do look at my website http://adphotography.moonfruit.com

for those who wonder what the david stands for well thats my middle name hence why the name of my website is called andrew david photography
you know my last name as its in my profile

finally thanks to those who have added me on to their art watch and for my previous top ten placements where i had 6 in one top ten until then

Talking about email addresses i have updated this to a.hunter@designrainbow.com, as with my portfolio i am slowly continuing to add new pieces

Well another day is here and its 3.47am in the morning UK time which i guess is GMT +1 not that it matters as we're now heading for summer longer days and shorter nights. For me that means more caffine & cigs as i try and make the old grey cells work just that little bit harder

( hee hee) Well the process is still going on as i start to fill my portfolio with new images sift through my ever growing collection and of course make new pieces of art, so for my regular crowd who keep coming back to see what new art has made an appearance in my portfolio do read my blog other wise you might wonder

on certain days why things are quite so thankyou and keep watching this space

For those who are probably following this blog will notice that the process of uploading images is kind of slow as i'm in between updating my website and putting new material into my portfolio. Oh just sent an email to the people at artwanted about my subscription as it says this is up for renewal

so await a response from them dont want to come back one day and find my account has been reduced to only three images a month as the feedback on my work has been staggering

being the week leading up to easter i might upload one or two easter card designs seeing how well my valentine ones did anyway must crack on and will probably post more later or tomorrow

i guess i kept my promise by saying i would start to upload new images into my portfolio question is now this is happening. I'm thinking of reorganising the sub galleries or in so many words having a gallery for all my bee and spider pics followed by one for all my roses etc

But then is this worth the bother considering i will probably end up naming them rose 1 and rose 2 boring eh !!!!!! anyway i'm quite enjoying keeping this blog going despite being a bit worse for wear been without my coffee all day but since having a cup now should be okay

As normally i need say at least two cups to get my brain into gear don't we all moving on keep looking out for new images in my portfolio
