Its a Poppy & its a symbol of peace to many & to others its a reminder of war. Either way it should remind us that war is never a good thing & peace is the way to go. WE all lose in war except perhaps the companies that make the weapons.

This is a simple leaf study which may have the look of a studio shot but its a hand held low light shot taken outdoors. I have played around with it to get the colour the way I wanted it. I think it makes a good card or mounted print. I'd like to dedicate this one to Joe Sweeney. He's a good friend & this is a small thank you. Best wishes to you & the family Joe. The good people of AW rally round yet again. Many thanks for all the kind words, support & prayers for our friend Jamie Winter. Michael Falk her grandson left a short message, his Great Grandma says all will be well. Obviously Jamie is in good hands & is getting all the medical help she needs. Our help & support will have played & continue to play its part. All our very best wishes to Jamie & her family. I'm sure Jamie will read all our comments when she returns. My very best wishes to evryone of you for 2008 & beyond. Here in Scotland celebrations are starting to warm up, 1st we see out the old year then welcome in the new. Comments are alway welcome; as long as they are constructive & polite. If you like an image I'm always happy to know why or what it is about that image that works. Obviously I cant please everyone so if you don't like an image you don't have to comment. However if you wished to email me & tell me what it is that you don't like maybe I can create an image that meets your personal needs. Or put it another way; I'll accept a commission if we can agree terms.
