This portrait has been one of the most challenging and rewarding that I have completed in a very long time. At first I wasn't sure that I could do it, but was willing to try after recieving the following request.
"Tracey, Last month my daughters first baby, a little girl named Porter Ann was stillborn. We have no pictures of her other than the ones the nurses took, which as you can imagine, were not good. I would like to have a small pencil sketch made of the baby for my daughter. Is this something that you would possibly take on? It would mean so much to her to have something to remember Porter Ann by that could be placed out for others to see. Her biggest fear is that we will forget her, but the pictures are just not good enough to be displayed and need an "artists" eye." - Pam B.

Tracey's Blog'n Spot
Well I have managed my second blog entry! There really should be 36 hours in a day. It doesn't ever seem like I have enough time to do the things I want to do.

It's about to get crazier around here. We took in a kitty we found under a car bumper. We thought we were getting one cat. But it looks like we are getting more. She should be having kittens any day and I have no idea what to do. Well I have read stuff on the internet and spoken to the vet, but.... you never know. She's so fat! Last night she got stuck on her back, and I hate to say it but I laughed so hard watching her trying to roll over to get back up.

Does anyone use Twitter? I have been learning how it works, and the opportunities for using Twitter as a way to get more people to see my portfolio.
There are groups and sites in the Twitter community that are focused toward artists, such as artcontests which is a twitter feed from TheArtList I'm also finding a lot of great software for twitter users. I will write about that stuff next time!

WOW! My first blog entry EVER! It has been a while since I last visited Artwanted, but hope to make blogging and interaction with all of you a more regular thing.

Since you guys can't post comments images to this blog, I encourage you to send me pictures and comments on what-ever with an e-mail. I love seeing new stuff. Send me a link to your portfolio!

I am fascinated with mushrooms, and they are frequently in my paintings. My bio explains the mushroom fetish! They are just way too cool! I have uploaded my most recent mushroom painting. More new work will be comming soon. So check back.

I have been busy working on new paintings and crafts for our CreativeClam shops. I'm wearing Kurt out with and endless supply of handmade stuff.
