Heracles, the son of the Greek god Zeus and the mortal Alcmene:

The story of Heracles is interesting for his myth has overtones in the story of Christ and Nietzsches Super-Man. While Heracles description is more suited for the Hebrew description of the Messiah, the philosophy of Plato with his transcendence of the physical idea helped prepare the Greeks for the teachings of Jesus and the evolution of Christianity through the efforts of Paul.

Hogarth and his Dynamic Figure Drawing publication 1970. The flower was first inked and then digitally painted over. the background was digitally painted.

This is one of a very few surviving pieces from that venture. The business was called Renaissance Graphics and screen and block printing for the fine art market was its target. There was a partner involved who was actually sent at the expense of the business to Art College for one term. He was to assist in the production process of the business. Unfortunately, the training did not bring the would-be business partner to par and the business was dissolved.

This work is a 4 x5 silk screen print. The architectural design element was hand projected in a-3d drafting using descriptive geometry techniques (a pre-curser to computer3-d ray tracing). I still have the original projection. 5 individual screens were produced. Each screen was hand cut using a polymer film mask to create templates; each template was adhered to a handmade 4.5x5.5 screen.
Working with such large screens and being a complete novice with silk-screening, I did not anticipate that the templates would vary in size do to temperature variation (this became significant with such large screens). This and poor, planning and inadequate working facilities along with poor partner selection lead to the closure of this initial business adventure but the experience and lesson in humility made the attempt worthwhile.

Battle of Anghiari (Over All)[Under Construction] by Leo Da's Artistic Promotions

This is a quickly assembled unfinished composite of the series of pencil drawings interpreting the famous rendering of a painting painted by Leonardo Da Vinci. The painting disintegrated within Da Vincis own life time yet several artists managed to make detailed black and white copies before it was lost forever.

I used Rubens depiction as a base for the horses' placement. Now I have starting the background which will come from a variety of different sources. As for the warriors, I used quite a bit of artistic licensing in my interpretation and radically changed the overall meaning by changing their armor. One can see that the victory is obviously going to the better armed Romanesque fighters while the cruder designed protective ware of the Barbarian solders contributes to their demise.

After all the drawings are complete, I will attempt assemble them into a single large oil painting. This will be done over a period of time such that I will be able to upload the progress as each section is completed.
