Hello again! It's been a while...and I'd like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New 2009! Right now I'm on winter break (is that the word?) so no school for a couple of weeks...or maybe moore...I pretty much made my mind up to quit school. Maybe I'm crazy and will regret it, but it just don't feel right. I don't feel for 99% of the subjects and the rest 1% is the art related subjects, so I figured I need to find myself another thing to do or study. And I think I've found it...when autumn comes hopefully I'm starting a master in architecture, that means no moore physics and technical stuff...just design and art wweeei! Plan B will be Art school.. still haven't got the money, but I've done a couple of commissions lately so that's a start at least. And quitting school means I'm going to have moore time to paint too :-) And I'm going to get myself a real job...that's my New Year promise :-) And when I'm not on work I'll use all the evenings to work on commissions (hopefully hehe) and my own little project...hopefully resulting in a calender ready for the summer exhibition. Now I can only hold my breath and hope the year 2009 bings luck and happiness...for med and for you :-) Hugs!

I ended up selling more during that single day then during the whole week before. 5 paintings and a lot of postcards, I feel more happy and humbled then I can even begin to describe! I even got a commission, and I tell you it's gonna be a joy to paint those two little girls!

Today was the fourth day of my yearly group exhibition at "Härnäsets Folkets Hus" on the Swedish westcoast. Two moore to go... It has been some good days, even though it started out in a frustrating way, because of a particular internet company, "vistaprint.com". I ordered a lot of calenders and postcards from them, but somehow they managed to forget about my order...though they sure didn't forget to charge me! So now I'm waiting to get my money back...but well they don't seem to be in a hurry, even though I've probably filled their mailbox ten times around by now. So, a big warning for "vistaprint.com"!

Instead I want to recommend another company "Arkitektkopia" (in Sweden, Uddevalla). I contacted them yesterday morning and this morning they said I could come pick up all my 350 postcards! Fantastic! So thank you again "Arkitektkopia"!

Well, it's time to get some sleep now...tomorrow I'll have to paint alot to keep my promise to finish one of the unfinished paintings I brought with me. Exhibitions are good...they really make you get things done! So Goodnight y'all!

Hehe I can see I was not in a very good mood when I posted last time...

Well I finished the portrait I was talking about a couple of weeks ago and finally I was really happy with it. I tried to take a good picture of it, but it was soo weird... it didn't look anything like him. I tried different lights and angles, but no, the guy in the photos didn't look anything like the one in the painting. So after a couple of hours I gave up and it's kind of frustrating..I worked soo hard on this one and was soo happy with the end result. Well at least I know I did it!

I have been soo happy and have painted alot lately, though I'm not soo good at finishing my paintings... but now I have the exhibition on Sunday to look forward too and I don't want to hang a lot of unfinished things. So I have about 5 pieces to finish in four days, but most of them are almost finished so I'm gonna make it :-)
By the way you are all welcome to stop by if you have any plans to visit the Swedish westcoast. "Härnäsets Folkets Hus" is the name of the building and it's close to the town Lysekil. Bye and take care! Maybe I'll see you!

The livingroom is finally finished! I painted all the walls in a calming creamy colour and of course I had to paint a big black tree on one of the walls. I love trees, especially the ones without leaves. When I was younger I filled my notepads in school with trees, threes and dresses, those were the only things I painted for quite a wile (and a lot of combinations of the two, funny little tree-dresses and tree-people). Anyway, I just have to get a couple of black cushions for the sofa now to match the tree, and the livingroom is complete! (I'll post you a picture when it's done.)

The other project taking up my time now (except getting the the kitchen livable) is a portrait. For some reason it's the hardest portrait I have ever painted. I can't seem to get any likeness. Usually I can see right away what needs to be changed, but this one is just impossible. I estimate the time spent on it now is about 40 hours and that is four times as much as it usually takes me to paint a single-person portrait! I'm soo tired of staring at this guy now and I even dreamt about him this night! I was actually going to send him away several weeks ago, but the client never had time to pick him up. So he had to go with me to my new appartement and when I unpacked him here last week I felt I had done an awful job. I had just listened to the people around me, telling me he looked good and I had let those words drown my own ambition screaming "you can do soo much better!". And here I am, stuck with what feels like a lifelong project. I'll just have to tell the client to come pick it up this weekend and just try to make it as good as I can until then. Well, it's back to work now. See you later..

I can't sleep...again. My head is filled with images. I want to paint! I'm tired of school and I'm tired of fixing my apartement and I'm tired of living in boxes not knowing were my paint and brushes are. Until these damn walls are painted and the floor is polished I'm not allowed to unpack a single thing. At least I found my dresses. Watching them bring me just the amount happiness I need to carry on living in this mess. Enough complaining for tonight. Gonna continue scrolling through paintings here and escape into the world of other artists. Good night.

Today I spent a lot of time on AW. I changed my profile picture, updated my Biograpy, uploaded a new painting (finished just this morning!) and as you can see I even wrote my first blog entry!
