This painting was quite a lot of trouble. The first night I started working on it I had completely finished with the panther before I realized that the jaw was terribly out of line. I re-painted it, and that's where everything started to go wrong. I made multiple changes to the composition, as well as to the lighting and detail on the panther itself. I've never had a painting present so many problems. (Granted, that's not saying too much, I haven't done many actual paintings until lately.) I've declared it finished at least twice before now. I finally feel satisfied with it, however. The final touches today were the flowers in the lower corner and the beetles on the leaves at the top. I kind of felt like calling this 'Variations on the Color Yellow' but that was wierd, so I went with something a little more cliche. :D Acrylic on 8x10 Clayboard. Original available.

This was quite a lot of fun to color. Unfortunately I can never come up with good titles for dragon pictures. o.O Goodness knows why. I'm still not quite happy with the clouds though... so I might go back and clean them up later. I dunno... You can't really see my detail on here. Poo. :(

This was the second in my 'evil' series. It's on the older side, also. I have some newer ones coming as soon as they're finished, but both of them were actually STARTED awhile ago as well. I would like to note that all of these were based on real objects. This chair used to sit in our living room.

This is the first in what I have a tendency to refer to as my 'evil' series. This was done back in 2003, and is still my favorite to date. It's actually probably the oldest drawing I've done that I'm still really fond of. This was done entirely in ink, with no underlying pencil sketch. Unfortunately, this one was done on printer paper. Back in those days I used printer paper quite a lot. I think this particular image captures the essence of what I was trying to portray the best out of the four I have done to date.

I actually started this and did most of the drawing almost a year ago. It lay in my sketchbook all of that time because I didn't feel it was finished. Even though it has some anatomical problems it was so CLOSE to being finished that I figured I might as well, so I pulled it out and made a couple of small changes to the horse and added the simple background. Lately I've been doing more painting than pencil drawings, and I hope to get around to doing an actual painting of a horse soon.

This is yet another piece I've had lying around waiting to be scanned and uploaded. This is the first 'colored eye' drawing I've done with pencil as the major media. I actually started not to do it that way, but I'm really glad that I did because the drawing is so much more intense than it would have been if I hadn't.

This is a portrait of little Rayah Lee. Her mother is one of my best friends, and I drew this the day she was born. It really isn't much more than a sketch, since I did it from life rather than from a photograph, and it may end up in the 'Sketches' section later on.

This was a piece I did specifically for my portfolio. I spent hours on this and there were over 70 layers when I was done. I'm still not really happy with it; particularly the willows in the background. It's questionable however as to wether or not I will ever go back and re-do them.

This is my entry for the Virginia Equine Extravaganza Art Contest. It will very likely be for sale upon its return. Oil Pencil and chalk pastels on 8x10 sketchbook paper. It looks much better in person. :D

Hello everyone, You may have noticed that a large number of my works have been deleted, this is because I'm doing a massive overhaul on all of my internet galleries. New stuff will begin appearing sometime in the near future.
