This is a photomanip I did for Digital Image Manipulation II class. The requirements were to use at least 3 different images and combine them to create a montage, as well as incorporate text from a song or poem. I finally got around to doing something with my fourth of july fireworks photos. It was a blast taking these photos, and an even bigger blast setting them off! Anyways, I had a lot of photos so I thought I would pick the best ones and put them all into one composition. Enjoy!

Since I have had quite a bit of time on my hands, here is another sickly cute little illustration! I think I might do one for each of the fruits. Next is watermelon, apple, cherry, lime, or orange, or something. Who knows! (and yes, I am working on some traditional stuff now too, this is just a relaxing break for me, and some great practice in illustrator for the class I'm in right now)

What the heck?! Its cute, pink, has a kitty hat, and smiles?! Where the heck did this come from?! I think I am going through a temporary lapse in sanity mwah ha ha ha!!! No really, its for school. I doodled up a little cute character while I was at work, and decided what the heck, I'll go for it and finish the darn thing. I think I just spent like 10 hours doing this!! Talk about learning while doing. And who knows if I put it in the right category! Largely inspired by the artists queenofdorks, guri-chan,and celesse from deviantart.com. Your opinions/critiques are welcome, as I am contemplating making more, since they are so cute and fun : )

Final version. I enjoyed the bristol board, but found that it made all the colours much more rich than I was used to. So it was hard to adjust to, especially when doing the skintones.

So I got a new camera due to the fact that my old one broke. Needless to say, I had a lot of fun with it on my vacation. This is a close up picture of a gorgeous flower I saw on a walk.

So this was such a whim of a painting, but my friend wanted to have a painting day- and so I went over to her house last night and painted for a few hours. I had bought a cheap canvas to practice technique on, and couldn't think of anything to do on it so I figured I'd paint my most recent sketch- and after an hour of frustration trying to make it very clean and detailed, I stuck my finger in the paint, started making rough strokes with the brush and came up with this. I hated it at first, but now I like it because of how full of motion it is. I might do another painting sometime, but who knows : ) Oh also- the hands are meant to look rather otherworldly, it wasn't a mistake.

So here is the lineart. Definitely enjoying my break from school already, expect some more work in the next 3 weeks while im out of school! The inking went very well on the bristol board, lets hope the colouring will too.
