Oh this just has to be my best unicorn yet! I finished her last night,. her horn did not fit on the one sheet of bristol board, so I had to use another, I really love the dramatic effect of a long horn. I am in love with this drawing! And will be taking her back into photoShop injust a few after I get the boys off to school. I can not wait to finish her up and bring her to magical life! I am so happy to feel the flow of creative energy once again! I think moving to this new house has helped us so much in so many ways! Walk in the glow of magic and creativity Always! Peace, Leah

Just did this one today, oh it felt great to break out the pencils once again! I did this for our family wall, the elephant is elegant and beautiful, I have always been mesmerized by the elephants social lives, the way they love and care for each other, they morn there lost love ones and help raise each other's babies, they are really amazing wonderful beings...the position of the trunk was of course intentional, (it is believed by some) that it helps bring good energy, harmony, and good fortune to a home...the lotus flower for the obvious spiritual meanings and symbolisms... As this gentle giant stares at the single lotus flower in mid bloom, what mysteries of life and love does she ponder... In Peace Always, Leah? *This is the first stage of this creation, Pencil on Bristol Board, I am getting ready to open up PhotoShop and see what I can do to bring her to life and add some more spirituality to this piece :)

100 Pounds Gone FOREVER! by Leah Jaarveth

OK so not many of you probably know that I was (glad to finally say was) a woman who had a lot of weight to loose. Well December 11th 2008 was the day I decided to stop carrying so much weight, emotional and physical, and what a journey it has been. Lets just say you have to do a lot of soul searching to be able to bring the real you to the surface. Well here I am 100 pounds gone forever, I still am working on the last 20-30, but with as much as I got gone, I know I can finish off the rest, so cheers to 2009, it has been my year, make it yours too, accomplish something you thought you never could accomplish! I am thinking of writing abook now, a self help motivational/spiritual thing, we will see how it goes ;) Now that I have done the majority of inner work, I need to get back into my art! Cheers to accomplishment, cheers to confidence and motivation, Cheers to love and life!
