First photo taken at Virgin Cove. The road leading in was awful, and we wondered what we were getting ourself into. Jumped for joy when we got settled and I saw what the beach looked like. The overcast sky made it perfect for snorkeling. Just had to be careful of the coral.

It rained quite heavily our first day in Samoa, but I wasn't going to let that stop us from going to the market. A flash flood meant the food market street was knee deep in water. This is under cover at the flea market. Our best buy was 2 strands of pink, fresh water pearls. We got quite wet on the walk back, but it was warm.

Robert Louis Stevenson (Author of Treasure Island, Dr Jekyl and Mr. Hyde)spent his last 5 years, living in Apia Samoa. He is buried on the mountain nearby. The House has the first and last fireplaces ever built in Samoa. He loved the place, and the people and was much loved in return.
