My job was to reconstruct it by giving it an undercoat and fully painting the crest as you see it in the photograph. The drum is now fully frogged and has it's drumskin and is played for Royal Marine parades.

This was one of the images I produced whilst trying to design a possible front cover for a guide book.

I was not lucky but my work is on display in the current museum, so I am not too dis-heartened!

mural for a dear friend to take
home. I painted a similar scene
on his office wall and when he

the mural too! This commission

Ark Royal, now de-
commissioned.
