Not bad I think. Perfect representation of my comic/pulp novel character

I decided to make an image based on the concept of an adventure which chronicled the Doctor before he fled his homeworld.

Davies), Big Finish Doctor Who Audio Adventures and the BBC Audio Dramas, I decided to create a "CD insert" based on an episode. There will be more coming soon. The Two Doctors, the Talons of Weng-Chiang, the Pyramids of Mars and the Daemons

Inspired by this B&W sketch I found of the Lone Ranger online, I decided to create a comic cover. I love the way he looks. I wish I can get a hold of the artist and use him for my webcomic. Intrigued by the genre known as "Weird West," I took an ominous looking tattoo design and designed the cover around it. I used threshold on a picture of a ghosttown and I layered it onto difference clouds. Some of you may not know this but the original coloring of the Lone Ranger was red and black, not light blue. Hence the decision to color the B&W Ranger sketch in that manner. The Vigilante seemed to be a natural choice to put in the cover seeing as how the style he's drawn in is the same as the Ranger. The comic title was the old placard of the Pinkerton's from the 1880s. I cleaned it up and used the clone tool to clean up smudges and damages. Unfortunately, the text didn't come out so well.

A simplistic project but I like how turned out. Pretty self explanatory as to what I did. I used an outer glow for the Green Lantern Oath, Marquee/Paint Bucket for the box, bevel/embossed & outer glow for the logo.

For the Lantern image I found, I darkened his colors, sharpened him a bit, then fiddled with the threshold & brightest/contrast tool.

The Black Terror: the Death of Hitler by Luis-Gabriel Leal

This was a fun project. I had this great image of the Black Terror I found online, a WW2 era hero, and nothing was coming to me. As if Fate had intervened, a movie about the final hours of Hitler was shown on cable. I then remembered how DC ran some stories about how Golden Age mystery men lent themselves to the Allied front.

I got think thinking... What if one of them actually got to Hitler?

I spent a great deal of time looking up anti-Nazi/Hitler propaganda images on Google Image but nothing was working until I found the scanned newspaper page announcing Hitler's death. So I got that, but what else? I decided to do something slightly symbolic & spiritual. Hence the 4th Horsemen image to the Terror's right.

I faded, alter the colors and textured the newspaper image, I darkened the Grim Reaper and sharpened up the Black Terror while fixing his colors a bit. I then used the Marquee tool to make the boxes on the top of the image you see.

All in all, I think this is my best image to date.

She knew of my fondness of retro/vintage/pulp/edwardian/victorian images. Anyway, after studying the image, I decided to try my hand at some intense digital coloring. Seeing as how the image was already w/o color, I figured it shouldn't be too hard. Boy I was wrong.

I used the magic wand tool and selected certain areas to select and carefully color them in. After an our I came up with this. I'm not pleased with the lettering on the bottom. In the future, I'll probably work on it again.
