hey, I like it. You expressed it very well.

Hi Eva, Her face is very expressive of emotion and I like the way you painted it very much! :) I also love the blue color you used! I think the lowest part of her body could use more work, though. :)

I like your work very much. I disagree with Nina about her lower half. The way I see it, only half of her body is in the picture. If you look at her hair and breast on the right side, you can imagine her arm and leg are just off the canvas. That's whats fun about art, everyone sees it in a differant way.

I like the looseness of her pose and her melancholy expression. The colors make it complete.

He body language is oh so casually " i am not happy" - excellent composition - and delivery - why do you think you did not get in??? I don't get it - she bespeaks the theme blue in a very loud voice

hey wendy, thanks everyone.. well the waa has over 500 members.. and they have 8 or 9 juried shows a year the jurors pick ..youre either in or your out.. loud might be one of my problems with them.. alot of people paint landscape via the woodstiock school of art style.. my work does tend to be loud and commands spece .. you can see it well from acrossed the room so in the gallery show it sticks out.. somepeople dont like that.. sometimes i get in.. last time i did get in the juror was curator from the new museum at the college i went to.. i think 40 miles away in new paltz they may have a very different idea about art than the do in woodstock which is partly historical.. woodstock has been an artists community since ythe 1920.. competition is pretty stiff around here .. just 90 miles north of nyc.. this was another blue paintng i did

Well if they are anything like the RA then don't worry, some of the best painters get refused while they show trash, literally!!!

They look very good to me and show a good understanding of the mood. The only thing I would of altered, would of been to make sure all of her right arm was in the picture.
