Problem with ads and getting in to Art wanted

For three days, I have been having trouble with these ads that attach to every link on this site: from heart, hair, surveys, etc. Anyone having this problem? It is so annoying. Is it a virus? I never had this happen. Then the site has gone down on me at least 3-4 hours every day for the past 3 days. Just can't get in. Yesterday, it was from 4 pm till 8 I think! It’s usually in the morning here from 9- 11 am. I know some have complained about the site not loading too! Does the staff know of any problems? Or suggestions? Then sometimes when I upload a picture it hangs up for a 15 – 30 minutes and just sits there to the point I don’t know what is going on: whether its uploading or not. I have only 45 percent full so it’s not that. I use MacAfee too! I have been in the computer field since 1967 and I have never had this happen.
