Love it.

Hi Rick, I am still here. But I think you know that since I comment on your incredible work. Yes, much less people than a few years ago. The close community is now very much smaller. If you are active, you can keep it going some. XO Sharon

This art site really did crash out overnight ---Not sure why but it's not what it use to be just a year ago.

I have just found this site, and love it! I hope it revives, if it IS in decline...! So much to see and do here, so many talented artists. :D

Hey thanks for the insight, Cheryl! I wondered about the difference, why I couldn't highlight a word on the site and right-click to google it (that's how I check my spelling and get definitions). Now I know why! I mostly just put my name/URL on my best pics, so wherever they end up, they can still find their way home, lol. I hope I can bring in just a bit more action to this site and also to FoundMyself.com, the other site I have found this week and which also has seen busier days. Each site has its own unique appeal. But no matter where I go, I am just amazed at the artistic talent that is out there... so inspiring and hopeful and creative!! :D

Hi !! I am here everyday and try to post 2 pictures a day, but many of my previous friends have left. The PIC OF THE DAY does not exist anymore. I would love the site to be more active and convivial. It takes hours to go and see the comments done under each image ! I preferred the vertical previous presentation, but I know they wanted to adapt the new version to the tablets. I also dislike all the image that are disappearing when you click on them. Tiring !!! Well, I keep here as I do not want to love my leftover friends, but would love to have more "swing" on this new version !!!!

Hi All,

As with most things, they garner attention before fading away. I've been a member for a few years, and welcome the opp to have a 'premium' website to shoecase my photographs. I've received many compliments on my posted images, and I try to remember to reply and visit theirs as well.

Not enough notice, step out of your comfort zone and explore. There are tons of folks here that psot work.

Maybe, those who haven't been here for a year or more, can be placed in an archived folder. Then, when they post a new image, they become active again. Just a thought.

Hello everyone!

No one is expected to be great all the time so no big deal. Art hungry people will take it anyway they can get it!

I'm still here but have not been very active. I have to admit I started to lose the drive to come on here. It was a cool site when I started then things started to slow down on here and the contest stopped there for a while. Which I am glad to see that they have started up again. It seemed like others were losing their interest as well. Not to mention I got busy with work and started school that it has also been hard for me to even create anything anymore. Though I am just about done with school and do plan on giving this site a bit more of my attention. Hoping that this site can come back to what it was and even better. Glad to see some of the new changes. I do love that there are places like this that artist can come together and have a place to share, learn and grow.

Hi rick. Been with the site for years. I still love it. But I am not producing as much as I used to so I don't visit as much as I used to. I still keep coming back as time allows

I think messages boards have been dying slowly for the last 2 decades. It's all Facebook groups. Not sure is Artwanted.com has a group, but maybe it would be smarter to make one and have people go there. At least you can post and get comments a lot quicker. There is nothing that can be done about bringing people back here unless Facebook dies and even then there will be another alternative.

It's so nice to know that some of my old friends are still here and that there are some new friends that I hope to get to know more and see their incredible art. I am back at ArtWanted, I have always loved the site and I'm excited to see what 2017 brings. I am looking forward to seeing ArtWanted once again be a vibrant and growing art community.

I will be posting more often and will be visiting the community boards as well. I hope to reconnect with my old friends and hope to meet and get to know new friends as well. Happy New Year Everyone and happy creating!

I've had an account here for years (2004, I think)...I stopped posting images around 2012, having been distracted by family issues, and didn't return....until today, when I discovered on my website statistics that I still had links here! I'd forgotten all about them. Personally, I do not do "social media". I have a Pinterest board, and that's as close as I get to social media. My view is that they are enormous time-wasters, with all these liking and favouriting processes. I do not like the ethos of Facebook nor its moderating policies, and wouldn't touch it with a bargepole even if it was the only selling platform on Earth. Although I am of an older generation, I am not a technophobe and can understand that things have to develop but I feel social media is far too emotion-driven. I would never manage to garner a "following" of people, and I think to be successful using these systems you have to be pushy and outgoing. Your art is seen today and gone tomorrow because social-media users are looking for the "next big thing" every day. I think there is still a need for sites like AW. There's no reason why it can't be successful, if it can provide things that social media can't.

I sure do missed the art critic sites very helpful for soo many years now gone sigh. As for other galleries either your famous or you simply just get ignored with no greetings or what so ever.

Hi all, I've been away for quite a while. No sales on here, but it's a good place to direct people interested in seeing more of your work without having a fully maintained, paid for website. I am happy to see that they are now offering websites as well, and I am thinking that I will take advantage of it soon. Its time, I think.
