looking for anwsers

Is there anyone out there checking messages, do you have any kind of administration, anyone taking care of this web site honestly I placed an order through the print program, on February 22, they received the payment but I still have not received my order. After many attempts to contact them with no response I have filed a complaint with the BBB. I am so sad and disappointed, I removed all my works from there print program as I can not let my customers go through what I have. And have not posted any new work to my account I want my order or my money back for the print order and my premium membership payment. Thee BBB has e mailed me to say that no one has responded to there request to resolve this.

You could also try the link at the very bottom of this page...right in the center where it says Contact Us.

Good luck, most people have a very very difficult time getting in contact or getting problems resolved in a timely matter. I think AW is concentrating all their efforts on their other site.

I have submitted 5 different support tickets by using the contact us link, Thanks though.

It appears since Andy sold off the site to some group it has steadily gone straight to the bottom. They have not put any effort into the site but the basic maintaining the site.

It is a skeleton/ghost of what it was a couple years ago. There was lots of interaction etc.. but then some problems with members in the message board chat and then Andy letting the site go and lots of good people left although there are some great people still here you just do not see any real interaction going on anymore even though some have tried in the past. A shame really.

Go look at the art contest and you can see when it really started to go down. They posted they were going on a short hiatus with it and would return. well look at the date of the last contest and you can see when the decline of input from management started and just went down from there.

I have seen other post the past couple years of people having the same sort of problem you are experiencing. I hope you get it resolved, This once was a pretty nice site. My best to you

Beware this site has become a scam, I do not recommend doing any kind of business with them.

It would appear that the last interaction by someone who actually cared, well maybe not care as so much had the job of watching the site was on August 2014.

So now Artwanted aimlessly sails the internet waters as a ghost ship. It is a shame what the site is doing to it's members

So the question is not so much "Is anyone Out there" as to Elvis has left the building. The show is over, now file out in single file and drive home safely.

And where to go Gary ?

That my friend, is a good question.. There do not seem to be that many good ones anymore as in the past. there are a few like redbubble or smugmug and 1x that are around but they all seem to have their share of love and hate from people on them. I have not really found one as yet that I am happy with. I do feel though for the past year or two. this site has gone down hill badly.

As you will remember the great Board Massacre..LOLL when all the hate in fighting etc. was going on and Andy was leaving the site. That it was down hill from there. but actually the selling of AW to what ever group Andy sold or gave it too, They just did not care enough to put any thing back into it. I guess they just thought it would be a cruising cash cow of dollars and they would not have to really invest into it.

It is a shame hearing and seeing what is going on here now. especially people getting ripped off for pictures and owed money from sales.. that was what this site was promoting. I am still in touch with a few friends that left this site and see a few familiar names still on here but I don't really see them interacting that much on here either.

In it's heyday this was actually not a bad site . I hope they get their act together here and start answering and interacting with the people on here trying to promote and sell their art on this site. but Since last August I have not really seen any signs of activity from them nor does it sound like anyone else on here is getting much in the way of feedback from who runs the site.

Anyway wish you the best and you really need to break down and just by the bridge camera instead of trying to find a camera for your pentax lenses LOLLL Canon, Nikon make a couple nice ones that have a built in zoom from 24mm to a 1000mm and the quality is not that bad for a single little camera with that range of lenes.. and they are 16 mega pixel.. so for your use I think you might find it a good investment and a bit less $$ than if you try to find a camera body for the old lenses you have. I know it is hard to toss good lenses but I don't think Pentax newer cameras will fit your old lenses but I could be wrong. It depends on the lens mount you have.

Are you still doing wood carvings?? Take Care

Good to hear from you Gary. Have to agree that whoever has this site is letting the bots run it while they just collect their money. Like you I remember when the chit use to really hit the fan in here. "They"...Andy went a little overboard on their censorship. Remember the guy that posted flower pictures that resembled human anatomy that the booted ?? Guess Andy wanted the guaranteed money from the school kiddies more than the adults. I sort of gave up looking for a new camera body for the lenses, even tho I found a duplicate if I wanted to spend that kind of money again....nope Finally caught a Cannon Rebel EOS T5 on sale with a nice 70 300 lense (standard lens and the telephoto with the extra chip and carrying bag for 1/2 price of $400. Really haven't played with it much yet. The wood carvings...I finally got my "muse" back and finally finished up a couple of very old piece that were on hold. And done a couple of new ones. Working on a large piece now. A 5' Fig tree truck with an amazing amount of knots on it. It will be all animals on it when its done. So...like you, except I cruise through the galleries on a daily basis, but there is no Social activities in here anymore. Take care and see ya the next time

Can anyone tell me how to download my pixs from my artwanted site. Can not get any help from the contact board on ordering anything etc. Thank you Cindy Luke what has happened there was so much going on before it really is sad.

Johnny Driggers 29 Jul 2015

If you go to your Portfolio on the left under "Quick Links" click on "manage portfolio" you will then see a link that says "download portfolio"

I haven't tried it but that's how you download your pictures if that's what you are talking about.

Cindy Luke 30 Jul 2015

Thank you Johnny Driggers. I will try this and get back on if it worked
