need advice should i quit painting?

Hello all i have been painting watercolour pieces for over 3 years self taught sold over 3000 paintings but fail to earn enough to make a living point is i find selling my art very frustating any advice

You should never stop.... I would should sell prints on line and you have the ability to make what I think would be Beautiful cards.

Many artists would be happy selling that many. Msybe you could try asking a little more for each one.

It doesn't have to be either/or perhaps you can get a part-time job and continue your painting. The painting is bringing in some income so you can be choosy about which job to pick.

And/or you can reduce your expenses by moving to a cheaper area; NYC is notorious for waves of artist moving to cheap nieghborhoods to save on rent!

Never stop painting. By selling your work you are doing much more than many. If you stop you may loose the skill level at which you are painting.

There are tons of websites where you can post art for sale, and local art fairs

Certainly. There would be less competition if you quit. But maybe instead you should change tactics a bit, look for new takes on your work? Good luck. Painting is not just about selling - it's something your mind needs to be open to things.
