Hi there, I recognise a few names from a few years ago when my husband Tony (Laz) used to come on and write his many manifestos :)

I thought I would make a post and let those of you who knew him know that he isn't too good right now.

A few weeks ago he started getting symptoms similar to that of a stroke, we went to hospital quite a few times and each time he was sent home and told he had anxiety issues !

He collapsed/had a seizure on Tuesday 8th July and was rushed to hospital where they finally did a CT scan which showed some abnormalities on his brain, an MRI scan the following day showed he had a very large tumour on his left side, with 2 smaller ones to the back of it. He had an appointment for a biopsy on 15th July although they pretty much knew what it was, he had a further MRI and this has shown up another very aggressive tumour - now on his right side which has appeared in the 2 weeks since his last MRI. He has Glioblastoma Multiforme 4, it is unoperable and they are unable to offer him any radiotherapy as they don't think he will benefit from it given the speed that these tumours are growing :( basically - they said we are looking at a couple of weeks (worse case scenario) and maybe a couple of months (best case scenario).

Tony (you lot know him as Laz :) ) had many, many happy years on here and made quite a few friends - I thought it only right to let those of you who meant something to him know how he is. I am really sorry to bring you this news, at the moment, it is quite surreal and I haven't really taken it in myself, it has all happened so quickly (they reckon he has only had them for about 3 months or so)

Hi Karen,So sorry to hear this bad news, I am devastated to hear about Laz, I used to email him regular then lost touch . I was one of the artists to send a piece of art for his monumental, his dream, Laz is a very talented artist and inventor which will never be forgotten. and I am so honoured to know him . My thoughts are with you and your daughter Karen at this sad sad time:(:(:(

Hi Karen, I am so sorry to hear about Laz..a fine man who enlightened me with his writings & his wisdom when I was active here many years ago. Please send him my love..he may not remember me but I will never forget this lovely guy who has a heart that will live on in many of our lives forever. Words don't come easy to me but please tell him I am sending all I've got in strength and much Love to him and you. xxxx

Hi Karen, I too am sadden to learn this about Laz.. I always enjoyed his manifestos..LOLL and I emailed with him about a year or so ago and we talked. don't come on this site that often anymore, so I am just learning about this.. My best to him either way of the outcome, I always considered him a friend. My best to you it is not an easy journey to have to go thru. Gary
