“Each year, the North Atlantic Ocean announces springtime by producing ‘blooms’ large enough to be seen from space. These explosive increases in microscopic marine algae, called phytoplankton, appear as sudden bright blossoms in satellite imagery. Phytoplankton blooms occur in all the Earth’s oceans when nutrient and sunlight conditions are right” (source: nasa.gov).

This observation of grouped glowing algae reveal something intriguing about the intersections between biology and perception.

For our modern age of fiber optics high-definition TV signals, we can contemplate how Earth offers special clues about how we should ‘feel’ about magic.

Such thoughts illuminate (no pun intended) the social demand for relevant perception-digestion Hollywood (USA) movies such as “Mystic Pizza” (1988).

Is it any surprise then that everyone today seems to be walking around with a mobile phone with a handy-dandy built-in mini-camera inside it?
