transfer color slides to digital images

Anyone had experience with getting color slides installed on a CD? I have a scanner that is supposed to but it is not really able to do it.

I also have a printer that supposedly was able to do it Even after following the instruction over and over...no luck. Not happy. Had a lot of 1960's slides I wanted to transfer. Oh well, there are, or use to be places that would do it for you like "RiteAid" and "Walgreens". Both drug stores where I live. Good luck

I found one on the web which might soon be available. It is called Ion Audio slide &film scanner. It looks like $139.99.
