did I get a likeness?

I was asked to paint a photo replacing the head with another minus the glasses.I had to change the direction of the gaze. Did I get a reasonable likeness?

Looks human to me! And masterfully done. Water, boat, clothes, face - all really excellent. No idea what the photo looks like - maybe in another post? Tons of detail.

dan, you'd have to post a photo of the subject in order for us to determine if you got a good likeness....right now, it looks like a well executed man's face....but as far as a likeness??/well...we need something to compare it to!

It looks just like him! Great work, post a pic of the guy for comparison. You really did a great job even without comparisons.

Without a comparison…. There is one thing that catches my eyes, not sure in a good way. The eyes are they spot on can’t say, They seem empty. Maybe

Great job! I really get a sense of movement and being on choppy ocean waters. Great handelingof the chosen medium. Also the local colors are realistic!
