Target Stores - What a surprise.......Interesting Read...!!

Remember this if you have a " TARGET STORE " taking over a Zeller's in your area. TARGET STORES ARE NOT YET IN CANADA, HOWEVER THEY ARE SLATED TO OPEN A LOT OF STORES IN MARCH OR APRIL OF 2013. APPARENTLY THEY WILL BE TAKING OVER THE ZELLERS STORES. TARGET IS LOOKING FOR NEW AREAS AS THEY ARE GETTING A VERY BAD RECEPTION IN THE STATES MAINLY DUE TO THEIR NON-CHRISTIAN ATTITUDES. TARGET STORES HEAD OFFICE IS IN FRANCE WHICH IS NOW 'MUSLIM CONTROLLED' AND MAY EXPLAIN THE NON-CHRISTIAN ATTITUDE. ' WE SUPPORT GIANT TIGER, CANADIAN TIRE, HOME HARDWARE, ETC. THOSE WHICH ARE CANADIAN OWNED AND OPERATED.' 'Target Stores What a surprise!' Wasn't it just last Christmas that Target refused to let the Salvation Army ring their bells in front of their stores?

Dick Forrey of the Vietnam Veterans Association wrote.

'Recently we asked the local 'TARGET' store to be a proud Sponsor of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall during our Spring recognition event. Remember there are Canadians occupying space on these walls 'We received the following reply From the local 'TARGET' management: Veterans do not meet our Area of giving. We only donate to the arts, social action Groups, gay & lesbian causes and education.'

So I'm thinking, if the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and Veterans in general, do not meet their donation criteria, Then something is really wrong at this 'TARGET' store. We were not asking for thousands of dollars, not even hundreds, just a small sponsorship for a memorial remembrance.?

As a follow-up, I, E-mailed the 'TARGET U.S. Corporate Headquarters' and their response was the same.'That is their National policy!!!'

Then I looked further into the company .. They will not allow the Marines to collect for 'Toys for Tots' at any of their Stores. And during the recent Iraq deployment they would not allow families of employee's who were called up for active duty to continue their insurance coverage while they were on military service. Then as I dug further I find that 'TARGET' is in fact, a French-owned corporation.

Now, I'm thinking..if 'TARGET' cannot support our American (or Canadian) Veterans, then why should our families support their Stores ? Why should we spend our hard earned American & Canadian dollars in their stores..?? And, then have them send their profits to France? 'Without the 'American and Canadian' Vets, where would France be today?' 'They would most likely be speaking German and trading in Deutsch Marks...!!!'

Sincerely, Dick Forrey. Veterans Helping Veterans!!

'Please send this on to everyone you know to let 'Target' know --We don't need them either !' We’re all in a position to reduce the sales in these stores as soon as this gets around.

Thank you Micheal, I did read your link to Info on this subject. It would seem The info I put on here is totally incorrect. My reasoning for opening up this tread was for our Vets. They put their lives out there in harms way for all of us everyday. I for one will not stand by and not do something. I realize now that perhaps I should have checked Snopes first.....In my Mind and heart ........Our vets well being comes first.

Agreed!

Snopes does not get the last word as far as I am concerned. I spite of their denial, they do have liberal bias.

I went and checked on what you said John, And you too are also right. I guess then it just boils down to each person and what they believe or don't and if it is worth getting flack to put a news item out there. I felt this piece had merit and should be shared. There are enough people out there worring about big business ,and not enough worring about you and me.
